I received my apprenticeship while working for National Tea Co. in 1962. After successfully managing many local meat markets, I decided to go into my own business. In 1978 I opened my first store in Bay View located on Howell Avenue. The store was very small but it was a start. In 1985 I decided to expand and grow a little. I rented a small area in Katrina's Country Cubbard located at Loomis Road and Edgerton Avenue, just a stone's throw from today's location. After 4 years I knew I needed to expand again. In 1989 I built the present location at 4640 W. Loomis Road and added on a much needed expansion and much needed partner in Perry Podd.
